Heidi Chance is a seasoned law enforcement professional with over 27 years of service, specializing in combating sex trafficking. As a Subject Matter Expert and frequent Expert Witness, Heidi brings real-world experience from her time as an undercover officer, including her investigation leading to a record 493.5-year prison sentence for a trafficker guilty of 101 child sex trafficking charges.
Featured in the PBS Frontline documentary “Sex Trafficking in America” and an Executive Contributor for BRAINZ Magazine, Heidi is a prominent voice in raising awareness and training others to fight sex trafficking.
Through her platform, A Chance for Awareness, Heidi offers in-person, online, and webinar training to equip law enforcement and communities with tools to identify and combat trafficking.
She recently published “Talk to Them”: Navigating Difficult Conversations with Youth in the Digital Age, a resource for parents and mentors on online safety and digital engagement. Heidi is a passionate advocate for collective action to protect society's most vulnerable and empower individuals to make a difference.
