“From the first email where Detective Heidi and I connected, I knew the information she had was vital for parents, caregivers, teachers, Youth Pastors and workers, and anyone who has children and teens in their lives, which really is all of us. Whether it’s the neighbor down the street or the kid in your class, we are called to watch out for one another. The information Detective Heidi brought was easy to understand, provided numbers to look at, and gave hope in the grand scheme of this very inhumane practice found in our country and sometimes even in our backyard. Knowing the signs of a potential victim equips us to not stand by hopeless anymore, but to allow us the opportunity to actually help do something about it. Regardless of how small we think it is, any step we take to help a victim may be the very step they need to finally be free.
