Students will learn to identify key indicators of sex trafficking during routine patrols and calls for service. This segment covers effective response strategies, including victim protection protocols and trauma-informed questioning techniques. Participants will gain the skills necessary to gather crucial evidence for prosecution while prioritizing victim safety and cooperation.

Child Sex Trafficking Interviews

Conducting interviews with child victims requires specialized, trauma-informed skills. This segment equips patrol officers with techniques to create supportive environments and build rapport with child victims. Officers will learn to ask appropriate questions that facilitate accurate disclosures while ensuring the victim's comfort.

Case Prosecution and Trial Preparation

This section focuses on compiling investigative findings and effectively submitting them for prosecution. Participants will learn how to prepare for trial, including strategies for testifying in court and the effective use of expert witnesses to strengthen the case against suspects.
